Monday Motivations: Post 3: Actively Adulting
Welcome back & Happy Monday! Today, I would like to highlight the topic of adulting.
In just forty-one days, I will be graduating from college (insert tears here). With this life event quickly approaching, I will start to embark on my journey into the unknown, also known as the real world. It is helpful to note that I am not alone, being as many of our followers are going through the same experiences. This being said, I wanted this blog post to highlight three tips that will be useful to us as we actively adult.
Tip #1: The hunt of all hunts: The job hunt
If you are like me, the job hunt can be stressful. On top of other commitments, assignments, and school, we are expected to plan for our future in all of the free time that we do not have. I totally get it, scary stuff! What I have learned through this process is that connections are everything. You may recall the phrase, "it's not what you know, it's who you know." This seems to be a common tip that many older individuals have spoken to me about recently. This being said, don't be afraid to reach out and talk to members within your community. Build your network and get your name out to influential individuals! After making connections, apply for jobs that you feel will fit not only your interests, but also one that reflects your qualifications. Next step: land that interview and land that job!

Tip #2: Toto, I have a feeling we're not in college anymore: Take care of yourself!
Eat well, sleep well. College took a lot out of us; let's be kind to our bodies and give it the care that it needs to ensure that we are healthy individuals!
Tip #3: Budget Effectively
Insurance, rent, student loans, etc.. We have large payments coming our way! One way to truly set yourself up for success is by financially being aware. Save your money & live within your means!

Overall, we have a lot of exciting things ahead of us! By no means am I an expert on adulting; however, I hope that you can find this blog post helpful. Below, I have included one of our latest t-shirt designs. This design was made to encourage all young adults get excited about the next part of our lives. Together, we must adult!
